Our Story

a STORY is ALWAYS in the MAKING …

 

Our story is a new one one might say… But we think stories are always there, waiting to evolve, or perhaps they never really wait…

If we must look for a beginning, it all started when our child, Paddy was born, in 2014.

That is when we moved to Ireland, but not Dublin – we chose a West Coast home stuck between two snow-capped mountain ranges, surrounded by farmlands and with a view over a bay of the Atlantic.

We’ve left everything behind to make our dreams come true: bring our child up carefree, barefooted, as a part of nature revelling in quietness and with both parents at home.

This move has also borne new interests: cultivation of hearth and home, worshipping Nature, enjoyment of genuine natural materials and appreciation of true craftsmanship as hand work of anyone whose heart is in it.

 

Chris is a cabinet-maker by trade and Izzy’s creativity is born from variety of backgrounds: from digging in paper goods art since times immemorial through archaeology degree to a newly found love for woodwork and concrete.

 

What we offer is where our heart is.

We love simplicity, pre-loved, white, raw, unfinished and whitewashed and we believe in surrounding ourselves with those minimal handmade functional products. Inspirational verses are our next favourite. Home décor will never be food or clothing, but what it can is to nourish your soul a bit and perhaps bring a little ray of sunshine on that gloomy day.

We take pride and ownership in what we do and would love to share our passion with the world. Expect honesty, good craftsmanship and genuine materials.
